Ewa (Dorota Stalińska), a respected actress returning from abroad with an award, is once again invited to collaborate on a new film by the director (voice of Teresa Budzisz-Krzyżanowska). The work on the footage together with the editor (Henryk Bista) weaves elements of Ewa’s private life into the narrative, causing the boundary between role and reality to blur. The woman tries to develop her career as an actress and singer, is involved in a romance with a younger partner (Olaf Lubaszenko), and fights for leading roles, while also struggling with grief over her father’s death and alcohol problems. Her behavior can be explosive and difficult for colleagues and those around her, and an unplanned pregnancy forces her to confront a future that may take a completely unexpected direction.
