Olgierd Pasikonik, a well-known sexologist and advice columnist for a popular magazine, is preparing a response to a letter from Anna, a young woman questioning whether she has chosen the right future husband. Anna runs away from the altar, despite her mother’s and fiancé’s pleas, determined to leave home and start a new life. After a televised discussion about the sexual revolution, Eliza, one of Olgierd’s many admirers who sees him as her hero, unexpectedly shows up. Although Pasikonik tries to use his tried-and-true techniques, he fails to meet Eliza’s expectations. Shaken, he calls his friend—psychoanalyst Dr. Saperstein—for advice. When he returns, another surprise awaits him in his apartment: an unconscious Eliza, while Anna is standing at the door. The film is full of humor, funny situations, and unexpected twists, portraying with a light touch the complexities of human relationships, love, and sexual dilemmas in everyday life.
